NEW MUSIC FAVORITES ☆

What are you listening to?

Lately, I've really gotten into listening to Ed Sheeran. I am obsessed with his album "X".

The songs are so sweet, soft and catchy. They are seriously feel good music. One of my favorites from the album is of course--- Thinking Out Loud. (seriously listen to it)
I'm so into this album that next chance I get I am going to buy the CD (yes an actual disc) to play in my car.
NEWFOUND LOVE FOR ED

I also have a new discovery?? Yessssssss  SOUNDCLOUD!

Today, I was browsing YouTube & 200000 makeup videos later…. I was watching cover videos.
WELL, I found such talented people. One of my favorites that I still am obsessed with his voice is Michael Castro.
He does covers and even has his own song (all on iTunes)
One of my favorites out of his covers would have to be his version of Taylor Swift's Shake it off.
Surprisingly, a guy singing it is much better in my opinion!
He's so good I HAD to find more from him. From there, I went on SoundCloud. Now I have an account to listen to all other cool artists. I am also obsessed with dance music and EDM so after discovering more mixes, I was sold!
I think sound cloud is so great for up and coming musicians and singers. I love the concept and am excited to discover new music. Hits radio stations are too mainstream and boring for me hahah

Part of the reason why I was looking up covers on youtube is because I want to play music in the background of my videos that does take copyright. I also thought it would be nice to help other you tubers out if I can to let others hear their voice! If anyone knows any youtubers with a great voice and they wouldn't mind letting me use their music, let me know! Tweet me @messmakeupval

ANYWAYS G2G LISTEN TO MY JAMS ☮ ✌

HALLOWEEN TUTORIAL! YouTube Video

Simple and Easy Bloody Neck Wound!!

Hey! After two weeks, I got around to posting my second video:)
With halloween right around the corner, how appropriate to post a holiday related video!
(MORE INFO IS IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE VIDEO) Also-- I apologize for the lighting if its too dark.

I work at Spirit Halloween store near me and I have been eyeing the makeup section at work (as always!) I have never done special FX makeup before now and found that it wasn't that hard. I know I am only a beginner and don't know that much but I thought I would share the easy steps I do know to get a realistic wound!

I bought liquid latex, bloody scab, theatrical blood, and the injury stack.

{{DONT FORGET TO LET THE LATEX DRY BEFORE POKING A HOLE IN IT}}

I have heard that a dupe for liquid latex is eyelash adhesive so if you don't have a local halloween store there are ways to still create a wound.
Once you see how simple it is and with more practice, you'll get why I wanted to share.. Have fun playing with blood haha until next post… BYE!

First Video! UD Vice Palette Tutorial

Hey guys!  I got around to using the Vice palette and I love it even more!
Like always, I did a neutral eyeshadow look. It is 'fall inspired' with the golden brown tones and deep purple pop on the lower lash line. I'd really appreciate it if you checked out the video, comment and subscribe! It's my first video so I anticipate better in the future:)

I also want to play around with this palette more with the colors!

I'll post again if I find a look worth sharing!

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette Review and Swatches

MY FIRST POST!!!: Urban Decay Vice 3 Review & Swatches :)

Hi!! I am super excited to be writing my very first post here! & It is even more exciting because it is a makeup palette review + swatches (ooooooo)

I know before I buy a palette, I always do my "research" so I hope this helps someone make the decision of whether or not to buy this new UD eyeshadow palette.

I am OBSSESED with Urban Decay but I have never gotten one of their vice palettes. The second I saw a pic of this palette online, I knew i just HAD to get it!

I got mine from Sephora and it retails for $60. It contains 20 new and limited edition shades so I think it is a great value considering each eyeshadow individually is $18.

If you are someone who normally only wears neutral eyeshadows and want to branch out subtly to some colors, these shades are perfect. I would describe the colors as jewel tones. They are wearable and not flashy at all. There are also 3 rows of neutral colors (more than colors). I was also very happy to see that this palette has matte shades as well.

It comes in a pouch the same size as the palette that it can be stored in. It is an added bonus because you can use it for anything else, not just this palette. Although, I think it is a good idea to keep the palette safe in the pouch.
The palette itself is mirrored with the "vice" written in green jeweled 3d. It is prone to fingerprints so that is my own problem with the packaging.
It also comes with a double sided brush and mirror that is the whole size of the palette

The shades are: (described by UD)
  • Truth- pale pink nude matte
  • Dragon- bright metallic green shimmer
  • Vanity- smoky metallic eggplant w/multidimensional micro glitter
  • Alien- pink peach w/golden shift
  • Last Sin champagne shimmer w/silver micro glitter
  • Undone- pink beige matte/satin w/subtle floating tonal pearl
  • Freeze- metallic medium blue w/multidimensional micro glitter
  • Lucky- metallic bronze
  • Alchemy- deep fuchsia satin
  • Angel- light taupe w/silver micro glitter
  • Downfall- warm light brown matte
  • Heroine- deep navy blue w/subtle floating tonal pearl
  • Reign-rich brown satin
  • Bondage- deep smoky burgundy shimmer
  • Defy- smoky taupe satin
  • DTF- taupe matte w/subtle floating pearl
  • Brokedown- metallic golden brown shimmer w/gold micro glitter
  • Bobby Dazzle- metallic white w/pale gold micro glitter
  • Sonic- metallic red copper
  • Revolver- soft black satin w/subtle floating iridescent pearl

Now the swatches! (I apologize for the quality; it was taken in natural light w/o flash)
Truth, Undone, Downfall, DTF

Dragon, Freeze, Heroine, Brokedown

Vanity, Lucky, Reign, Bobby Dazzle

Alien, Alchemy, Bondage, Sonic

Last Sin, Angel, Defy, Revolver

OVERALL: I really like this palette and I know I will get use out of it.  Sadly, I have only swatched it but I will soon give feedback when I do.
I hope to post a pics of an eye look that I do using this palette very soon:)
